AACC Launches Young Entrepreneurship Awards To Fuel Africa's Success Stories' During The 2nd All Africa Youth Congress.

The All Africa Conference of Churches (AACC) officially launched its Young Entrepreneurship Award and Exchange Forum on Sunday, November 2, 2025, during the 2nd All Africa Youth Congress in Nairobi. The launch, following a successful webinar series on youth and enterprise, is a concrete action reinforcing the AACC’s “Africa: My Home. My Future” campaign by tackling the continent’s challenge of youth unemployment and underemployment.

Ann Kioi, the AACC Director for Gender, Women Youth and Sustainable Population, unveiled the award, which will support transformative youth-led ventures with a prize of $2,000 USD for winners in three key categories. The categories are: the Life-flourishing Digital and Tech-Enterprise Award, designed to recognize innovation in the digital sphere; the Green Leading Enterprise Award, which celebrates sustainable and eco-friendly business models; and the Community Impact and Social Enterprise Award, focusing on ventures that drive holistic transformation in local communities. This initiative is the latest effort affirming AACC’s perspective on entrepreneurship as a powerful tool for mission, rooted in the biblical parable of the talents.

Ann Kioi reminded the young delegates of the organization’s long-standing commitment, citing the alumni of a successful 2021 entrepreneurship workshop as a living testimony to the AACC's dedication to youth empowerment. She challenged the inaugural cohort of award winners, stating, “In 2027 we want you to come back and share your success story,” underscoring the award’s goal to create and scale sustainable businesses.
